About the Role

Animal Emergency Clinic of the High Country in Boone NC is looking for an associate veterinarian to join our team. Our ER work is both challenging and rewarding. Due to the nature of the cases we see we have developed a tight knit and highly efficient team led by five doctors. Most cases are managed in-house but we also refer cases to tertiary care facilities.

 

We have a full in-house IDEXX suite of lab equipment surgical ventilator cautery video endoscopy digital radiography referral quality ultrasound and in-house blood bank. There is ready access to an ultrasound/echocardiography specialist and we have an ophthalmologist that visits twice monthly. We are in the process of being credentialed as a Level II Triage Center through the Emergency & Critical Care Society. As a trusted member of our community we support many local rescue groups including Watauga County Humane Society.

 

With both leadership and mentorship opportunities this position is a great fit for both an experienced vet or a new grad.
